Leadership

“Leadership and Service will lead by ensuring our classmates experience a positive and respectful environment. We will accomplish this goal by being good role models, hosting events inclusive of all, and giving back to our community.”
Leading with Purpose — In School and Beyond

Leadership isn’t just about taking charge — it’s about making a difference. This year, I had the opportunity to step into a leadership role in the classroom alongside a partner. Together, we created a new curriculum plan, introduced fresh class activities, and worked closely with the new administration to make the class more engaging and impactful for everyone.

Community Service in Action:

As part of our service efforts, we helped organize a field trip to the local children’s hospital. It was both a learning experience and a way to give back.

● Coordinated logistics and helped present to the hospital staff.
● Engaged with patients in a respectful, joyful way.
● Earned additional service hours through meaningful contributions.
In the 3rd quarter, I took on a leadership role in my school’s Leadership & Service class, partnering with Kinsley Sayer to redesign how the class worked. Together, we created a mission-driven environment, introduced new activities, and inspired a stronger, more respectful community — inside and outside the classroom.

Key Classroom Achievements:

Created a student-centered curriculum focused on empathy, self-awareness, and leadership.
● Introduced a Leadership Buddy System to promote positive peer feedback and mentoring.
● Led case study activities where students analyzed real-life situations and applied leadership strategies.
● Promoted constructive criticism and growth mindset through classroom feedback systems.

Field Trip: Children’s Hospital Service Project

To take our leadership beyond the classroom, we coordinated a visit to AdventHealth Children’s Hospital — a deeply meaningful experience that combined planning, service, and emotional impact.

Service Highlights:

● Planned logistics, permissions, and transportation through school administration.
● Engaged with children in the Pediatric ICU through games, crafts, reading, and emotional support.
● Learned to practice sensitivity, teamwork, and compassion in a real-world care environment.
● Reflected on the visit as a group, using it to improve our leadership approach for future projects
This experience taught me that real leadership means creating space for others to grow. Whether through class engagement or acts of service, I realized how powerful student-led initiatives can be when they are rooted in purpose, empathy, and action.
